Patrick H. Daugherty, Esq.

President and Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Daugherty is an owner of Highland Capital Management and has over 30 years of experience in the credit markets where he has managed approximately $28.1 billion in assets including leveraged loans within 20 CLOs, high yield corporate bonds, derivatives and post-restructured equities,

He was the founder and designated senior portfolio manager for Highland Restoration Capital Partners, L.P. (a discrete distressed for control private equity fund), Tunstall Distressed Opportunities Fund, L.P. (a target special situations and event-driven hedge fund that opportunistically traded in stressed and distressed debt and post-restructured equities), Highland Crusader Fund, L.P. (a credit hedge fund with focus on stressed, distressed and post-restructured equity investing), Highland Distressed Opportunities, Inc. (a NYSE listed Business Development Company targeting par, stressed and distressed middle market debt – now NexPoint Strategic Opportunities Fund), Restoration Opportunities Fund (a credit based Regulated Investment Company now Highland Special Situations II Fund), Highland Credit Strategies Fund (a credit based closed-end retail fund – now NexPoint Credit Strategies Fund), Highland Financial Partners (a publicly traded credit based holding company), and Restoration Funding CLO (a hybrid CLO with a combination of broadly syndicated leveraged loans and middle market loans. Additionally, Mr. Daugherty was a designated Senior Portfolio Manager of numerous CLOs including Aberdeen CLO, Armstrong CLO, Brentwood CLO, Bristol Bay CLO, Eastland CLO, Gleneagles CLO, Grayson CLO, Greenbriar CLO, Jasper CLO, Liberty CLO, Legacy CLO, Loan V CLO, PAMCO I CLO, PAMCO III CLO, Red River CLO, Southfork CLO, Stratford CLO, Westchester CLO and Valhalla.

As Head of Private Equity, Mr. Daugherty served on the board of directors of many companies including: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc., Cornerstone Healthcare Group Holdings, Inc. (as CEO and chairman), Trussway Holdings (as Chairman), Mariner Healthcare, Inc., NexBank Holdings, Inc., Norse Merchant Group, Ltd., Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. (as Lead Investor and Director), Epocal (as Chairman), American Home Patient (as Chairman), CCS Medical Holdings (as Chairman), Carey International (as Chairman), Tony Roma’s Restaurants (as Chairman), SunCom Wireless Holdings, Inc. and Turtle Bay Holding Company, LLC.

Prior to joining Highland, Mr. Daugherty served as Vice President in the corporate finance group at Bank of America where he originated and structured leveraged bank loan and corporate bond transactions. He received a JD from the University of Houston School of Law and a BBA in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been a guest commentator on CNBC and Bloomberg Television and is a frequent speaker at conferences on the subject of CLOs, distressed debt and private equity investing.

Kevin Rourke, CFA

Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director

Mr. Rourke is responsible for developing and executing Glacier Lake’s sourcing, trading and underwriting initiatives. Mr. Rourke has over 24 years of experience in investment management, financial restructuring, management consulting and corporate financial management.

Prior to joining Glacier Lake, he was a Portfolio Manager with Highland Capital Management, LP where he led the investment management activities of a team of Portfolio Managers and Analysts managing more than $6.0 billion of loan assets across the firm’s CLOs. Mr. Rourke had direct portfolio management responsibility for more than $2.5 billion of senior-secured loans, high yield bonds and post-reorganization equities in the airline, broadcasting, gaming, media, print & publishing and travel services sectors. He also organized and led lender groups in numerous loan amendment and restructuring negotiations. Mr. Rourke previously worked in a broad range of roles in financial restructuring, management consulting and corporate financial management, most notably as a Senior Associate with the Seabury Group, where he advised this boutique financial advisory firm’s airline clients in financial restructurings in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S.

Mr. Rourke is a CFA Charterholder. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.
